Birthdays can be such a beautiful thing, but for some of us, we dread adding one more digit to our age. But for Jäger, a rescued German Shepherd mix, he can barely contain his excitement when he realizes it is his birthday!
According to his owner, "Truth be told, I’ve been a little upset about the fact that my baby is all grown up and entered the double digits. He, on the other hand, seemed quite excited about it."
After their morning walk, Jäger came bounding into the house, wagging his tail. When his owner asks, "Who's 10 years old?"
Jäger jumps on his bed and gleefully answers his mom's question, as he playfully jumps and twirls around in his bed. The dog's sister Cosette (a Dogue de Bordeaux rescue who's nickname is Smush) looks at her brother slightly confused by how much he's carrying on.
It's so sweet to see our four-legged family treated so well on their birthdays — like the pug who got his own ball pit or the pit bull who beat cancer and got the ultimate birthday surprise.
The adorable moment was all captured on camera and Jäger's owner hoped it'd just make her friends and family smile. Well, not long after, the video went viral with nearly 194,000 views on YouTube since it was uploaded on July 10.
The family plans to donate any of the proceeds from the video to their favorite animal rescue groups.
