Caitlyn was in her 60s and lived in a small, quiet community. Her son, Gregory, decided to follow his corporate career ambitions and move to a big city after he graduated college. He hadn’t visited his mother in person since graduation, as they communicated solely over the phone.
One day, Caitlyn decided that she really wanted to visit her son, so she boarded a bus to the city. When she arrived at what she thought was his home, she was met with a confused stranger. Caitlyn asked if her son Gregory was home.
“Ah, Gregory! No, he moved. I bought this house from him,” the man revealed.

Caitlyn was so disappointed that not only could she not see her son, but he didn’t bother to tell her that he had moved. As she tried to figure out what to do next, an old neighbor of Gregory’s came over and gave Caitlyn the address of his office downtown.
When Caitlyn finally saw her son working in his skyscraper office, she hugged him tightly. She couldn’t help but ask if Gregory wanted to come home for Mother’s Day, which was a few weekends away, but he couldn’t commit.
