This Woman Sings An Elephant To Sleep Every Single Night

The Elephant Nature Park, Chiang Mai Thailand is dedicated to rehabilitating elephants and giving them a safe and beautiful place to live. One of the elephants, Faa Mai, has been at the park since she was just a baby. It didn't take long for her to bond with her caretaker, Lek, who made it a habit to sing Faa Mai to sleep at night. Faa Mai is so comfortable around her caretaker — it's such a trusting friendship.

Each elephant is given one caretaker who is with them morning till night, and the bond between caretaker and elephant can be very strong. This is seriously one of the cutest things I've ever seen, the way Faa Mai slowly closes her eyes and Lek gently strokes her face and body. It seems impossible to be able to take charge of such a gigantic creature, yet this video proves that even the largest and most intimidating animals can be big 'ol sweethearts.

Even thought she's all grown up now, Faa Mai still loves to have Lek lull her to sleep. Every time Lek sits next to her before bedtime, she gets the deepest sleep — and she's known in the park for her loud snoring 🙂
