In most cases, finding a significant other who has a dog is the Holy Grail of dating.
There is a reason why so many people showcase their furry friends in pictures for their online dating profiles.
Of course, if one dog sounds good, then two dogs sounds twice as good — at least to most dog lovers.
When Brazilian woman Ninna Mandin got engaged, she naturally assumed her fiancé loved her two sweet French bulldogs as much as she did.
Being a dog-loving person, Ninna believed that she and her husband-to-be were making a happy life together with pups Gucci and Victoria.
However, Ninna began to notice bruises on the dogs. She quickly grew concerned for their safety, and started looking for an explanation.
When Ninna couldn't find the answers she was looking for, she took matters into her own hands.

Ninna treats her beloved dogs Gucci and Victoria with the same tender love and care that a mother would her children.
Being the caring mother she is, Ninna began noticing her dogs acting strangely back in 2015, shortly after she became engaged.
She also started noticing some bruises on their bodies. At first she thought they were just smudges of dirt, but quickly realized the pups had injuries.
To get to the bottom of the problem, Ninna decided to set up a nanny cam in her house where her babies spend the day.
She hid the camera well and told no one about what she was doing.
What Ninna found was extremely disturbing. The nanny cam allegedly revealed that her fiancé had been the one being rough with the dogs, apparently throwing them around.
She posted the video on Facebook as a way of exposing his behavior. The video is extremely disturbing, so exercise caution if you choose to click the link.
Not surprisingly, no one can understand how anyone could do anything other than kiss that cute face.
Needless to say, Ninna left her fiancé and called off the wedding.
She also started a petition online to encourage the authorities to get involved.
Luckily, Ninna had the strength to leave her former lover in the dust.
Then again, who can blame her? They don't get much cuter than these two!
Police in Brazil eventually looked into her fiancé, and the man was arrested. Further investigation is pending.
