Let’s face it, we all have chores that we would do just about anything to get out of. For me, it has always been hand-washing dishes, but everyone has their own Achilles heel.
Fortunately, the advent of the Internet has given us a great forum for trading tips and tricks to solve just about all of our housekeeping woes. For example, I had no idea that there was an easier way to clean my stovetop grates until I saw this genius video.
But it’s a little trickier when it comes to chores that take place outside, especially this time of year. While we know that it’s possible to tackle a yard full of leaves with enough cardboard, it’s not a one-size-fits-all solution. What to do?
Enter the Power Wheels. One dad is on the brink of winning “Most Brilliant Parent of the Year” after coming up with the best tactic we’ve ever seen for keeping his yard leaf-free, and his kid entertained, without ever lifting a finger.
All he needed to make his dream come to life? His kid’s Power Wheels, which is a battery-operated kids' car, fully equipped with a standard backpack-style leaf blower. He puts his son at the wheel in a pair of noise-canceling protective headphones, and away they go!
While we wouldn’t recommend doing this, this father and son definitely seem to be having a blast!
