Gotcha, an 11-year-old Moluccan Cockatoo, has quickly become a viral sensation. From dancing to "Wild Thing" to having a funny argument with Mom, this crazy bird certainly has a mind of his own.
In his latest video, Gotcha is seen frantically running around the house and saying a bunch of gibberish. He runs in and out of the various rooms, all while his owner films his hilarious antics.
To anyone concerned that this is some sort of cry for help, his owner Katie Vannoy says this is just a typical day for her pet and that there is no need to worry.
"This is not a behavior due to stress," she writes in the video's caption. "He is a wild, energetic bird and just loves to run on the floor and be loud."
There are some parrot behaviors that are absolutely mystifying to people who are new to birds, but are actually quite normal. Making noise is instinctual for birds, as it's how they communicate. And, just like children, most birds like to run around and get rowdy during playtime!
