2 Kids Bond Over Their Dwarfism In Hospital. 7 Years Later, They Reunite For Prom

Prom is one night every teenager looks forward to. It's an evening full of dancing, reminiscing, and being with the people closest to you. For two teens, prom meant more than just a fun night.

Graham Rider and Liddy Anstoetter met when they were 10 years old at a hospital in Florida. Both have a form of dwarfism, a condition called achondroplasia, and soon bonded over their similarities.

They went in for the same painful surgery to lengthen their limbs, and have shared a special bond ever since.

"He's the only one who really knows what both of us go through, understands it," Liddy explains in the video below, posted on April 9, 2017. "So, whether it's physical pain or emotional pain or whatever, we help each other out."

Although the teens live over 1,000 miles apart, distance never comes between them. When Liddy asked Graham to her prom in Kansas City, Missouri, he was delighted to say yes.

Unfortunately, Graham's flight got canceled, leaving him with a big obstacle in front of him. Luckily, his mom and sister drove him 20 hours from Connecticut to Liddy's prom overnight.

Finally, the two teens were reunited, strengthening their bond even more. Graham says, "In my opinion, she knows me better than I know me." Now, who wouldn't want a friendship like that?
