Grandma’s Dying Wish Finally Comes True, And It’ll Bring Tears To Your Eyes

Grab the tissues, because you're going to need them. This resilient grandmother's last moments weren't spent in a hospital bed. In an incredibly touching video, a family grants 92-year-old grandmother Dorothy Ellis her final wish to fly free outside of hospice just six weeks before she died.

While we've seen ill mothers wishing to make their children's weddings many times before, Dorothy's request was a quite a bit more unique. Dorothy  left her family totally speechless when she asked to fly over her Kansas home in a powered parachute. Dangerous? Yes. Doable? Definitely.

With help from her dedicated hospice nurse and her loving granddaughter, Holly, they made arrangements for a pilot to fly with her over the family's ranch house, so she could fulfill her dying wish.

In four minutes of "Grandma Dorothy Flies Over the Rainbow," viewers get to witness Dorothy living out her dream.

The emotional video is set to "Over the Rainbow" by Israel "Iz" Kamakawiwo'ole. At 0:53 seconds, the beautiful action begins. It looks like Dorothy finally got to fly over the rainbow.
