As Becky Moran battled terminal colon cancer, there was only one thing she wanted to do — meet her unborn grandson.
For seven years she'd fought colon cancer, but as her daughter, Abbie Moran Cooper, neared the end of her pregnancy, her condition worsened. Bedridden and under hospice care, it looked like the 55-year-old grandma would not get her wish to meet her first grandchild. Then the call came that Abbie was in labor.
No long after, a beautiful baby born was born, and the amazing staff at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital were able to grant Becky her dying wish. They brought the newborn to Becky's hospital bed, where she was able to hold her grandson. The next day, Becky passed away. This is truly a moment this family will cherish forever.
