Have Off For Martin Luther King, Jr. Day? Then You Owe Him A Few Seconds Of Your Time…

It has been over 50 years since Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was senselessly murdered by a bigoted madman, yet his dream is still alive more than ever.

Today's youth are more aware of racial divides than any other generation that came before them, and I know that if the American pastor, activist, humanitarian, and leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement were still alive today, he would be very proud of all we've achieved. But of course, there is still so much work to be done.

This weekend, we celebrate the Doctor's birthday, but sadly, many Americans don't even take the time to remember this hero's life and all that he did for civil rights in the United States of America and how those actions had a ripple effect all across the world. In the following video, we hear an abridged version of MLK's famous 1963 "I Have A Dream" speech. I challenge you to take a moment out of your busy day to remember the man who didn't just give you a long weekend in January but helped to give you and your friends and family a better America.

We may still have a very long way to go for full equality in all sectors, but there is no denying that our nation needs to hear MLK's words now more than ever.
