He Found Out His 16-Year-Old Dog Was Dying. What He Did Next Left Me In Tears.

When James Garcia found out that his best friend of 16 years had only a few weeks to live, he was completely devastated. Instead of feeling sad about the short amount of time his dog, Elmo, had left on earth, Garcia decided to help his dying doggy make the most of it.

The New York decided to create a bucket list for Elmo, who had been diagnosed with bladder disease and renal failure. Garcia has owned Elmo since he was a puppy and Garcia was a teenager. They've been through everything together and Garcia was shocked by the news he had to say goodbye to his friend.

"I decided not to sit and cry, but to make the moments together matter and decided to take him to every one of my favorite NYC spots," Garcia told Buzzfeed. Below are the touching photos of their last few adventures together.

Prepare to have your heartstrings pulled and then SHARE this touching post with all your friends to help celebrate Elmo's life.
