Barron Trump is still managing to stay out of the spotlight on some level, in spite of his extremely controversial father, who makes headlines every single day. But because not much is known about Barron, 20, people tend to speculate. On multiple occasions, people have tried to guess what he was saying when he was spotted interacting with people at events. Now, as Barron continues to show up for the occasional event during President Donald Trump’s second term, people are noticing that he and his dad appear to have something in common.
It’s appearance-based, not personality-based.

Online, some people have been talking about how Barron has seemingly inherited an “unfortunate” trait from his father, but honestly, it’s probably not the worst trait he could’ve inherited from him. When attending his father’s inauguration and other events, Barron had his hair slicked back, leading some people to wonder whether his hair is already thinning.
A video circulating on social media claims that Barron’s “mature slicked back look” is not random. “In last year’s election, Trump needed Barron to represent him and garner more support from young people,” the video alleges. “With increasing pressure, Barron needed to appear more mature.”
According to the video, Barron’s receding hairline might be helping with that goal. “A closer look at Barron’s head reveals his hairline appears to have receded,” the video states. “His hair is much thinner than that of his peers.” The reason people are comparing him to his dad is because the elder Trump has faced hair restoration procedure rumors for years now.
Barron seems to be more polite than his father, though.
At least, if you trust Eric Trump. When speaking to Megyn Kelly, Eric shed some light on Barron’s personality, suggesting that he’s not as rude or outspoken as their father (who is described as unhinged on a daily basis). Eric told Megyn that whatever Barron said to Former President Joe Biden at their dad’s inauguration was “so polite” and definitely not rude at all. “He just doesn’t have that in him,” Eric revealed. “Like, he’s a nice guy.”
However, Eric seemed kind of hopeful that that could change as Barron gets older. “He’s probably thinking it. He definitely has it up here, but he’s too courteous to actually go out there and say it,” Eric said. Speaking of their dad, Eric added, “Don’s kind of a jerk, right? My father’s pretty tough.” As for Barron, time will tell. “Barron’s young, right?” he continued. “He’s not like old enough to be a jerk and get away with it.”
Although he’s a “nice guy,” he might be following in his dad’s footsteps in another way too.
Lately, people have also been talking about Barron’s business venture. The 20-year-old has been listed as the “director” of a beverage company called Sollos Yerba Mate, which is set to launch next month. Obviously, Barron’s transition into the business world is drawing comparisons to his father. But to some Trump critics, it’s more than that. Given that the Trump family is known for selling all kinds of products, people have also accused him of continuing “the family grift.”
