Every time I watch The Ellen Show, I feel a sense of joy I don't often associate with other shows. There's such a warm, feel-good atmosphere that can't be beat! And Ellen is so funny and charismatic that it's hard not to stay tuned to what she does next. When she brought Heidi Klum on the show last month, they played a funny game of bra-stuffing for breast cancer. She even brings to her stage the most talented viral sensations!
Of course, nobody but Ellen could stage this amazing proposal.
First, she surprised a couple in the audience who had been trying to see the show live for years. Jesse Tyler tried everything to get tickets: writing on her behalf, her boyfriend Johnny King's behalf, and even her grandmother's over the course of five years!
Because Jesse loves the game "Heads Up," Ellen thought it would be fun for the couple to play it onstage, in front of the audience.
The words Johnny was acting for Jesse were pretty simple: anything from "flowers," to "dancing," to "eating." But when she had to guess 'love', she had no idea what as coming next…
When Johnny rummaged in a pocket, Jesse incorrectly guessed "money." But when he pulled out a tiny box, she realized what the word really was… "proposal!"
