After onlookers realized that a small dog had somehow gotten around the child window locks of a second floor apartment and gotten himself stuck on the ledge, they called the fire department, and then waited anxiously as one man did his best to earn the frightened dog's trust.
After giving the dog some food, the firefighter was able to put a leash around him and eventually get him to safety amid cheers from the crowd. I'm so glad the dog is safe, and can only imagine how scary it must have been for him!
