High School Custodian Steps In As The Father Students Never Had.

It's safe to say that the majority of teenagers live in their own little world. Many of them don't listen to their parents, friends or teachers, so they definitely are going to pay any mind to anyone else!

However, one janitor achieved the impossible and managed to catch students' ears at a Texas high school and offer them a lot more than friendly chit-chat. While Charles Clark's main job as head custodian is to keep the school grounds clean, he goes above and beyond, acting as a mentor to the students and gives them someone to look up to.

“All my life, I’ve always asked God to give me a job where I can make a difference and help people,” Clark told ABS News. According to the custodian, many of the students don't have positive role models at home, so he steps up as a father figure, offering the teens guidance and the attention they long for.

Clark says he doesn't want anyone feeling sorry for him because he's a custodian. "You tell me that I don’t have a great life? Charles Clark is the most blessed man — excuse me, but I get emotional when I talk about my children — on the face of this earth.”
