This is a powerful short film about two unlikely friends who strike up a connection when their hospital beds are placed next to each other. One man has lost his sight, while the other man is elderly and gravely ill.
The old man's bed was next to the room’s only window. The blinded man spent his days lying on his back. His only way to "see" the world around him was by listening to his friend describe what he saw taking place outside the window. The old man was happy to oblige his sightless friend, who relished those afternoons hearing about the activity, color, and excitement happening beyond the hospital window.
One day, it was time for the old man to be transferred to another unit — and it's the last time these two friends saw each other. But that's when the twist comes in.
I definitely did not see the end coming — what an incredible twist that left me speechless. I won't give it away, so you have to see it for yourself. This is the kind of video that makes you think about the true meaning of friendship, and how simple acts of kindness can go such a long way.
