Nick and Jamie were only dating for a few months before they knew they needed to spend the rest of their lives together.
The problem was that forever felt uncertain, as Nick, a U.S. Army soldier, was set to deploy to serve in Iraq any day. The couple had talked about getting married when Nick returned, but then they thought to themselves "Why wait?!" and decided to tie the knot right then and there to make their love official. Four days after their courthouse ceremony, Nick was on a plane to his duty station, but no one realized how quickly he would be returning.
Nick was injured in the line of duty and became a quadriplegic, but, by the grace of God and his own determination, he regained the use of his leg muscles. Life would be difficult for this wounded warrior — still, he wanted to make sure that his wife, Jamie, would get the dream wedding she had always imagined, but never expected.
When Nick bends down to propose to his wife all over again, I just lost it. This couple has been through so much and all they want is to live happily ever after. Now, thanks to the help of the couple's loved ones and some generous strangers, Jamie and Nick will get the perfect wedding their true love deserves.
