I can still remember the first time I saw a magic trick up close. We were on a family vacation to Disney World, but despite all the attractions at the happiest place on earth, my brother and I were more entertained by the clown our hotel hired for an evening of tricks and jokes.
It's just so strange to see your eyes deceived by their deft hands. Even pros like The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon can't help but feel flummoxed when illusionist Dan White stopped by for his most recent visit to the studio.
Dan starts at the top of the audience seating, slowly walking down with an apparently empty red envelope. After handing that to a man sitting nearby, he makes his way next to Jimmy without explaining what exactly the envelope is for.
But Jimmy doesn't have long to wonder about that as Dan hands him a deck from Cards Against Humanity. The bizarre phrases found on the silly game definitely set the tone of this baffling segment!
Jimmy is then instructed to write a random word on the card without telling Dan what it is. Dan even turns his back and covers his eyes so no one can accuse him of cheating in any way.
That's when he points out the chalkboard that has been sitting on the stage with them unnoticed the whole time. Before they began filming, Dan wrote down a word — the exact same one Jimmy has on his card!
