Kate Middleton Runs Into Prince William’s Reported Mistress At Prince Philip’s Celebration

Kate Middleton is back in the UK with her family following the recent Carribbean tour she and Prince William embarked on. The pair were on hand to attend a service celebrating the life of Prince Philip, who passed away in 2021.

Kate's former friend and the alleged mistress of her husband also attended the service, and inevitably reports that the women were facing off began to appear.

The service included 1,800 guests, and among them were Rose, 38, and her husband, David Cholmondeley, 7th Marquess of Cholmondeley, 61. The pair live relatively close to the Queen's home at Sandringham and share three children.

Some believe that Prince William had an affair with Rose back in 2019. At the time, rumors that Kate and Rose were no longer friends had surfaced, with a source telling the Daily Express, "It is well known that Kate and Rose have had a terrible falling out."

The source continued, "They used to be close but that is not the case any more. William wants to play peacemaker so the two couples can remain friends, given they live so close to each other and share many mutual friends. But Kate has been clear that she doesn’t want to see them any more and wants William to phase them out, despite their social status."

Rose has been married to her husband since 2009, and the two have been in a relationship since 2003. Despite the allegations against her, she and her husband have continued to be fixtures on the royal scene in the years since.

Royal watcher Angela Mollard believes that there might be something to the rumors about Prince William and Rose. While speaking on a podcast in December 2019, she explained, "There was all sorts of gossip at the time that William had grown close to Rose Hanbury and they were slightly improper, that Kate had frozen her out."

Angela continued, "Look, do we think this is true? I suspect that they were just good mates, they got on well. I don’t think William is the sort that would ever put either his marriage or the monarchy in jeopardy."

While calling the time period "very tense," Angela added, "They may have become close, it may have been slightly inappropriate but was there any substance to it? Look the fact that it’s died a death and that we haven’t heard about it through the rest of the year suggests to me it was just a bit of a blip."
