A Big Family Walks On Stage, But When THIS Happens, Everyone Breaks Down

This is a video of the Kelly Family crying during the song "Amazing Grace" on a TV show in 1989. When Paddy, one of the youngest daughters, sings her solo, she starts weeping. That's because this was the favorite song of their mother, Barbara, who died from cancer in 1982. They also sang it at her funeral.

The Kelly Family is an Irish-American-European music group consisting of a multi-generational family of 15 members who play rock, pop, and folk music. They have had chart and concert success in Europe and other parts of the world, and have sold over 20 million albums since the early 1980s.

For many years, the group presented a gypsy image and a vagabond lifestyle, traveling around Europe in a bus and houseboat. They were known for their eclectic and often homemade clothing and the very long hair worn by both male and female members of the band. In recent years, they have presented a more mainstream look.

The last time I fell in love with a performance of "Amazing Grace," it was when Baby Maya sang it for her dad. But this performance is definitely my new favorite, if for no other reason than that it takes me back to the best decade ever — the '80s!
