The wonderful thing about kids is their unchecked creativity. They haven't had a lifetime of insecurities and second-guessing to hold them back from putting everything they have into a creation, and their excitement and energy always shines through.
And the same thing goes for fashion. If you had kids who liked to dress themselves, you know that the typical look might be a riot of colors and patterns that an older person might not pick out. But it's all kinds of charming.
So one company came up with a way to capture kids' creativity as well as their love of creating bright outfits that express their personalities by turning their artwork into wearable, one-of-a-kind dresses. Picture This Clothing is letting kids be the designers of their own garments
We've seen what happens when kids' drawings come to life, like when one designer brought the inventions of kids ages 5 to 12 into the real world. Now, we can see what happens when their fashion designs come to life. And from the looks of it, it's pretty adorable.
Take a peek at some of the first designs to come out of this new company. You just might start seeing more of them!

Picture This is a company that lets kids take creative control over their clothing by allowing them the option to design their own unique garment.
Right now, Picture This only offers dresses, but it's very possible they'll expand into other garments.
From the website, parents can download and print a template like this.
Then kids can color it in with any designs or images they like. It can be a simple pattern, or a picture of their favorite animal, or anything at all!
It's a great way to let imaginations run wild, and to create something truly unique.
When the dress templates are complete, parents can send a good-quality photo of the design to the company, where they'll convert it into a wearble dress.
Here are some of the dresses that have been made so far, all with truly unique designs and signature touches from the artists.
Picture This founder Jaimee Newberry got the idea when she created a dress for her own daughter based on one of her drawings.
The rainbow dress was a huge hit with her daughter's friends and their parents, and so Newberry started thinking about how to turn the project into a business everyone can enjoy.
The result is Picture This, which allows any child to design their own clothing and wear their artwork for the world to see.
You can check out more about this nifty fashion idea on Picture This' website, where you can print out a template for the little artists in your life. And sorry, at this point it's kid sizes only! We were disappointed, too.
Please SHARE this with anyone who knows a blossoming fashion designer, and help them start their own adorable fashion line!
