Never in my entire life would I have guessed that I would ever get emotional from a cartoon movie… While there have always been touching moments in animated films, I always seemed to distance myself, taking comfort in the knowledge that it wasn't real.
Even when Bambi's mother dies, or when Simba's father falls in The Lion King, I managed to tough it out and watch the movie without my eyes watering. But the simple video below, simply titled Kiwi!, is something I've never experienced before. And after you see it, we're pretty sure you'll feel your heart swell up just a little bit, too!
It starts simply enough; a kiwi, a type of flightless bird, is pulling hard at a rope. She's having some trouble, but she manages to finally wrap it around an old tree. She slides down to a tree that seems to be on the edge of a cliff and eventually hammers the tree into the side of this cliff.
As she climbs back up the rope and looks down the precipice, it suddenly becomes clear what this flightless bird is doing. This video has garnered over 30 million views worldwide over the years, and when you think about it, it's pretty obvious why.
A dream may seem impossible or silly, but at the end of the day you should do your best to make it happen, no matter what!
There's some debate, but most people agree that the kiwi set up a special airbag to land on in the end!
