Hero Lifeguards Save A Dead Man Who Washed Ashore On Bondi Beach

Do you believe in miracles?

Every once in a while, we here at LittleThings will hear an incredible story that really has no other explanation than being a work from above. It's hard to understand what exactly happens in the following heart-pounding lifeguard rescue story, but one thing is for certain: he had an angel on the beach that day.

As you can see in this powerful PSA, it's never too early or to young to learn lifesaving techniques. Unfortunately, you just never know when you're going to need them. While I like to think I'm a pretty strong swimmer, no one can save themselves from powerful ocean waves when Mother Nature is angry. On world-class tourist destination Bondi Beach in Australia, the lifeguards there have truly seen it all. We recently shared a terrifying rescue of a lifeguard saving a little girl, but nothing can compare to what happens in the following video from 2006.

On a seemingly perfect beach day at Bondi, lifeguards are taking part in a photo shoot when all of a sudden a young man's body washes up onshore. Takahiro Ono, an English student visiting from Tokyo, was not breathing and had no heartbeat when he was found lifeless in the sand. He was clinically dead as the guards rushed to save his life. The man seemed like a lost cause, with no sign of life for about 5 minutes. Then something incredible happened.

While watching them perform CPR can be a little hard to watch, I assure you this story ends happily.
