Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song are engaged! The parents of 9-month-old Dakota confirmed the news to People after Brenda was photographed wearing a diamond ring on her left hand.
The two began dating in 2017 after meeting on the set of Changeland and have been pretty inseparable ever since. Dakota was born in April 2021.
Macaulay and Brenda are pretty protective of their life together on social media, only breaking their silence every so often to offer a glimpse into how they spend their days together. So far neither has shared a post online about their engagement.
The pair are equally protective of little Dakota and haven't shared a single photo of their son. Dakota was named after Macaulay's sister, who died in 2008 after being hit by a car.
In 2018, Macaulay told Joe Rogan that the two were looking forward to having children together. As he put it, "I'm going to have some pretty babies. She's Asian, so I'm gonna have tiny little Asian babies. It's going to be adorable — a bunch of Sean Lennons running around the house, that's what I'm looking for."
While the twosome didn't confirm their engagement themselves, a source who spoke to People anonymously shared, "Macaulay and Brenda have loved being together as a family since welcoming Dakota. The engagement is the natural next step for them. They are excited for their future together."
Obviously, wedding details aren't being shared at all by either party, though there's hope that perhaps the two will bless us with a few tidbits in the months to come. For now, there's a lot to be happy about, which is something Macaulay Culkin (and all of us) deserves.
