Sweet Tot’s Wish To See A Unicorn Is Fulfilled In Touching Video

For Joe and Becky Tetarkus, there’s nothing more important than family. Fortunately, they are well-equipped for the task; the couple, married for 15 years, has 9 children, all of whom are adopted.

They see it as their mission to help as many kids as they can, particularly children who might not ever find forever homes without them. In the past, we’ve covered their adoption of their youngest, Cate (sometimes called Poppy), who suffers from a rare eye condition.

But these days, it’s Cate’s big sister Tess who is making the biggest waves, after the 4-year-old, who has a severe heart condition, had a dream fulfilled by the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Fortunately, she's doing much better after a surgery, and she's feeling well enough to make a very big wish. She hoped to get to be a fairy princess for a day, and maybe even get to see a real, live unicorn!

Well, just as we saw when Make-A-Wish spread magic by introducing a few kids to a mermaid, the organization made good on it’s promise, and then some!

Mom, Dad, Tess, and all of her siblings flew from Wisconsin to Florida, where they not only got to go to the beach and ride horseback — they saw a real unicorn. Lucky little Tess even got to climb up, and ride around for a bit on her noble steed’s back.
