On July 17, the world was rocked. A passenger jet, Malaysia Flight 17, had been shot down after leaving Amsterdam for Kuala Lumpur, and all 283 passengers and 15 crew were killed. As the bodies of victims were transported home, a beautiful tribute happened.
Even without understanding the language being spoken this is touching. Men, women, and children lined the streets as the victims were driven past. Cars on the other side of the highway stopped and waited. Everyone clapped – a sign of respect in the Netherlands. Seeing the faces of those standing by the road made this tragedy even more real, and my heart broke for those that lost their lives and those that have been left behind.
Please join us in sending thoughts and prayers for the victims and their families, and please SHARE this tribute with everyone!
