In June 2022, Kevin Ford went viral for sharing his story: the Burger King veteran employee had never missed a day of work in 27 years. Kevin received a gift from his management team to celebrate that included Starbucks reusable tumbler, a bag of Reese’s candy, pens, and two rolls of Lifesavers candies.
People were displeased by the low value of the gift and began donating hundreds of thousands of dollars to Kevin. All that money added up, and Kevin recently bought his own home with the donations.
Kevin shared the update on Instagram and TikTok. He said in the video, "I’m trying to get through without crying but I wanted to show you something, something you made possible."
He adds, "I know it’s not a mansion, but it’s mine."
Kevin then takes fans on a tour through the home in Pahrump, Nevada.
He continued, "I want to thank everyone all around the world for what you’ve done for me, something I have never thought would be possible for me: homeownership. Now my kids and my grandkids have someplace to come visit me."
