Woman Cries When She Finds A Balloon In Her Yard With A Little Boy’s Message To His Dad

It was raining for several days in Walton County, GA, when the Edwards family noticed a strange object in their yard. Suzanne Edwards' husband ventured outside to retrieve it. When he returned, she noticed a tear in his eye.

When she realized why, she couldn't help but tear up herself.

In his hand was a letter, written by a boy. It was addressed to his father in heaven and attached to a helium balloon.

The letter read: "Dad, I wish you were here so we could have fun together. I wish you a Merry Christmas. I hope you tell God to give me those presents. I hope you are happy in heaven. If you are ok then tell me. I love you, Alexander."

The mom posted a photo of her discovery on social media, and soon the mother of the boy reached out to her. The boy is 7-year-old Alejandro, who lives just 20 miles away from Edwards. Alejandro was close to his father, who died three years ago. Every year, on the anniversary of his dad's death and on his birthday, Alejandro sends him a message just like this one.

Now that the little boy has been identified, many are hoping to send him gifts and letters of well-wishes this holiday season.

In awe of the power of social media, I am very glad that I was able to tell this story and connect with this family. I hope that God was glorified in the process. Merry Christmas to all!!!"
