In a society that pressures us to have a certain type of body, it can be hard to accept yourself if you're outside the norm.
The body positivity movement is growing in size every day, and plus-size models are more common now than ever.
Still, it can take a lot of guts to put your body out there — but Noonie, a model on Instagram, is proud to.
Noonie, who lives in Arizona, has almost 50,000 followers on her Instagram account, where she supports bodies of all shapes, sizes, and types.
Noonie isn't shy about her body not fitting societal norms. She happily posts photos of herself wearing the same crop tops that other models wear, and accepts her tummy and thighs.
While just about 50,000 people agree with Noonie, not everyone does.
When one of Noonie's selfies was turned into a cruel, body-shaming joke, the model fought back.

This is Noonie. She's a body positive model with almost 50,000 followers on Instagram.

Noonie is proud of her body. She uses Instagram to share her outfits and hair styles with her many followers.

Noonie has posted dozens of outfits on Instagram, but it happened to be this one that haters took issue with. I love this picture because you can see how happy Noonie looks — but bullies tried to take that away from her.

When online bullies made this viral internet edit of Noonie's picture, they took a photograph that was once so happy and turned it into something mean-spirited. Instead of supporting Noonie and her body, they ripped her down.

Noonie wasn't about to let bullies ruin her day — and she also didn't want them to make other girls like her feel bad about their bodies either.

So Noonie fired back against the picture with a statement on Instagram. She said she may not have the flat stomach that some people think is required with a crop top, but she's proud of her body anyway. She made it clear that she wants women "to build each other up instead of breaking each other down" — and wear whatever they feel comfortable in.

Noonie also shared her personal story about her body on Instagram. In a caption, she wrote, "I use to hate myself for how I looked. I always would get made fun of even though I was the sweetest to any and everyone. I never judged people, I loved and accepted everyone for who they where as a person. I was put on diet pills, had a watch that told how many steps I took to help me keep track of me working out…" But after a while, she realized that was harming, more than helping. She finishes her rant by asking, "Why are you trying to be someone you're not, why can't you accept who you are and love you. I finally found myself and I love who I have became."

I think Noonie's message is important for people everywhere, no matter their size — and it seems like her followers agree! What do you think?
