If you're a parent, you've probably searched far and wide to find products that make having a young child just a bit easier. After all, when you're constantly juggling feeding time, nap time, changing time, and play time (all while running on two hours of sleep), you'll spend money on just about anything that will make being a mom or dad less stressful. Unfortunately, many of the products we end up getting turn out to be a total waste of money, and you might find yourself wondering if the person who invented this stuff has ever even seen a baby before.
Fortunately, moms aren't exactly the type to sit on their hands when things get tough. Some women even get stuff done while they're in labor, such as this woman who finished her exam while she was having contractions just three minutes apart! In order to make their job (and the jobs of other parents) much easier, plenty of women have taken the struggles they've experienced while parenting and turned them into genius inventions. Just like this mom who came up with a brilliant way to help her son feel less embarrassed about his hearing aid, parents everywhere are proving that sometimes, all it takes is a bit of creativity to make something magical.
Check out these super-smart inventions created by moms. I can't believe it took so long for number 4 to be invented, but now, parents everywhere need to pick it up for their little ones! It looks like moms are saving the day yet again.

1. The WubbaNub Pacifier

When you're a parent, you barely have time to breathe, let alone search far and wide for a casually discarded pacifier. Carla Schneider solved the problem when she created the WubbaNub: a pacifier that comes attached to an adorable stuffed animal of your choosing. Now, your baby can hold a soft toy while they use their pacifier, and you'll have a much harder time misplacing a cuddly stuffed animal!

2. PooPoose Wiggle-Free Diaper Changing Pad

Like many moms, dentist Dana Fort had a hard time getting her infant daughter to stay still on the changing table. To relieve other parents from the stress of a wiggly child during an already difficult process, she invented the PooPoose. This revolutionary changing pad gently discourages your baby from rolling over while you're changing their diaper. And it's not just convenient — it's also much safer. Over half of infant visits to the ER result from falls, and tumbles from changing tables account for many of these incidents. Thankfully, the PooPoose can make your life easier and your baby's life safer.

3. Buzzy Drug-Free Pain Reliever

Watching a baby get their shots is gut-wrenching, so Amy Baxter came up with a solution when she saw her own newborn getting shots for the first time. She invented the Buzzy, which uses cold and vibration to make injections and other normally painful experiences a bit less ouchy. Now, the Buzzy is not only available for infants, but also for adults. Doctors are even purchasing it for their own clinics!

4. Baby Silk Sunscreen Towelettes

Properly applying sunscreen to a squirmy baby can be tough. Moms and pediatricians Diane Troung and JJ Levenstein set out to change that by inventing Baby Silk. These wipes are coated with baby-safe sunscreen, and all you need to do to apply it is wipe it all over your infant. No more being scared to take the little ones outside on a summer day!

5. The Woombie

Most parents are taught about the benefits of swaddling, but it is amazing how fast babies can become escape artists! When Karen Barski's baby kept finding ways to get her arms out of her swaddle, Karen created a more secure variation: the Woombie. This genius invention has all the functionality of a normal swaddle, but with a zipper up the center so that the only thing getting your infant out of their swaddle is you. Plus, the Woombie baby swaddle will help your baby sleep better, and calm fussy or crying babies.

6. The Sureshop

Parents know the struggle of hanging a heavy shopping or diaper bag on a stroller, only to have the whole thing start to tip over from the weight. Sonjie Feliciano Solomon solved the issue by creating the Sureshop, which attaches not only to the handle of your stroller, but also to the side. Redistributing the center of gravity enables you to hang your bag on your stroller without having to worry about it toppling over.

7. Bare Air-Free Bottle

When Priska Diaz switched her baby from breastfeeding to bottle-feeding, she noticed that her little one became a lot gassier. She came to the conclusion that if her breasts didn't have air vents, then a baby bottle shouldn't, either. The resulting invention was the Bare: an air-free baby bottle that prevents gassy bellies in infants. That's not the only benefit that comes with feeding your baby from this special bottle, though — it also keeps milk fresher for longer periods of time, and unlike other bottles, your baby can drink from the Bare while it's upright!

8. Boogie Wipes

Mindee Doney and Julie Pickens are all too familiar with the frustration of cleaning up snotty little noses and watching in vain as they start to become red and dry. Thankfully, the rest of us don't ever have to watch our children go through the same thing, thanks to Boogie Wipes. Unlike normal tissues, these are infused with saline to help dissolve boogers, and keep noses soft and pain-free.

9. The Snack Trap

When she noticed that much of her baby's snack food was ending up on the floor instead of in the kiddo's mouth, Christine Moss created the Snack Trap. These cups feature large handles for easy gripping and a soft lid that allows infants to see and grab their snacks, while closing up as soon as they remove their hand. How can you not love a product that eliminates mess and encourages self-feeding?
