The man in a pink shirt, who goes by the name Shockwave, sets up two microphones in the park. He puts up a sign that reads, "Take A Beat."
"Take a number, take a beat, take a breath…Life is hectic and stressful with the noise of work, politics, and social media. Shockwave beatboxes with passersby to create something from nothing, reminding us that life is fun and music uplifts!" The description says, and boy is it accurate.
In an attempt to spread a little possibility with music, Shockwave beatboxes, or uses his mouth as instrument, and welcomes anyone to join him in the fun.
Shockwave actually reminds me a lot of TJ Smith, who invited others to sing-a-long with him to "Build Me Up Buttercup" while waiting in hectic traffic.
A ton of people of all ages, colors, and walks of life join him and make some pretty sweet tunes together.
However, one mom in particular caught my eye. When she picks up the mic…holy cow! You don't see that everyday.
I seriously hope she's using that voice somewhere because it most certainly should be heard. The moment happens at 1:31, and you won't want to miss it.
