Moose Sheds His Own Antler In This Moment Rarely Caught On Video

Simply put, the wildlife of the world is amazing. There's always something out there to learn about the creatures that live among us, and we'll probably never know everything about any species. Even an animal we think we've figured out will surprise us with something we'd never except.

Granted, it's not often that many people are fascinated by or all that interested in moose. We think they're pretty ordinary animals. They love snow, they have big antlers, they're huge, and they can have an odd affinity for sprinklers. Simple enough. But apparently, their antlers behave in a similar fashion to a sea creature's shell or a bird's wings. Certain parts have to go and regrow as the animal itself grows older and bigger.

Another reason not as many people know this is because we don't really catch it happen very often. However, National Geographic recently shared this video from a family in Wyoming who just happened to capture a moose shaking off his left antler.

At first, they're all stunned and worried that the moose just hurt himself. However, one person seems to know that this is normal and reassures that everything is OK. The moose himself sure doesn't care at all as he goes right back to eating something as if nothing ever happened.

Now if only I could do the same thing to the extra body fat I put on!

Please SHARE if you find animals of all sorts just as amazing!
