Bride And Groom Skip The First Dance, Have A Lightsaber Battle Instead

We've seen our fair share of unorthodox wedding videos that left us smiling ear-to-ear, but something tells me that this one is unlike anything we've seen before.

Newly married couple Robert and Rebecca "are huge Star Wars fans," reports the Daily Dot. "And for them, 'til death do us part means a lightsaber duel to the death — or until it's time to cut the cake."

Called to the floor for their first dance, these newlyweds skipped the traditional slow dance and opted instead for something that better reflected their partnership, which turns out involved lightsabers and a very good sense of humor.

As the groom walks his bride to the front of the stage, both reach below a table dressing and pull out their respective light swords, hers green to match the sash on her wedding dress and green sneakers hidden beneath her gown, and his a vibrant red (a la Darth Vader, making her the good guy in this duel).

And so begins their homage to Star Wars, peppered adorably with displays of affection — a wide grin, a quick peck, an eruption of applause from their friends and family. And then there's the finale, but I'll save that one for you to see for yourself.
