Have you ever thought to yourself, "when my pet dies, I would like to send his or her remains up into space"?
Well, if by chance you've had that thought, now you can!
For $995, a company called Celetis will rocket your pet's remains into space inside a capsule that eventually returns to earth. For just under $5,000, you can make it so your dog's ashes rotate in space forever, and for $12,500, you can even send them to the moon, or "deep space."
Celetis, which has been launching human remains into space for years, says its mission is to help families "honor the memory of loved ones through unique, post-cremation memorial spaceflights." They've just recently started their pet campaign.
Personally, this seems like a lot to spend on a pet after they've passed away, but to some people, it might be exactly what they need to ease a grieving heart.
