A police officer in Los Lunas, NM, is being hailed a hero for going above and beyond the call of duty. What makes this video so incredible is the fact that it was all captured on Officer Mark Garule's lapel camera, giving the viewers an up close and intimate point of view.
Officer Gurule was on patrol when he received a call about a homeless man who was sleeping behind a rock off the side of the highway. When the officer arrived, he immediately noticed the man had no shoes or socks on. Instead, his shoes and socks were placed beside him, too tattered and worn-out to even wear on the sharp, rocky ground.
With the seasons quickly changing, Officer Gurule decided do what many people wouldn't dare. He left the homeless man there, only to return later that day bearing a truly heartwarming gift from his own pockets — but you have to watch the video to find out. It's really that wonderful!
