I am always impressed by what people can do and make with just a pile of reclaimed wood, and working here at LittleThings I've seen some truly incredible DIY projects.
One woman made an entire bar for her husband out of pallets.
Even something incredibly simple, like just adding some paint, can make an amazing living room table.
The project below might be one of my personal favorites. It's definitely something I'd want to do in my home.
Imgur user YourHeynis had access to two fences that were no longer in a suitable condition. They had to take the fences down, but so many of the wooden boards were still in excellent condition. He and some friends decided to repurpose this wood in a way that completely revitalized a room of the house.

The men salvaged parts from two different fences with two different-sized boards. One had 1x4 boards and the other had 1x6.

They started by separating the boards by size and color, and then they sanded them.

Because the boards had been salvaged, they also had to make sure they were all cut into the same size.

Using a pump sprayer, they used Thompson's water seal to seal the wood.

After they let the wood dry for approximately 48 hours, they were able to begin the project.

Starting in the top right corner, they nailed down each plank one by one to transform one of their walls.

They were also specific about which color and size of wood would go next so that the final product would be more aesthetically pleasing.

A few hours of work in, the whole project started coming together.

Though if you're trying this at home, you may have to custom cut a bottom row, they got lucky with a perfect fit.

The reclaimed wood cost them nothing to obtain, but it totally transformed their living room.

It took some effort, but the finished product was well worth it.
