If you've ever played a sport, either as an adult or in your youth, you're probably familiar with the dreaded, sinking feeling that comes with losing. Knowing how to lose is just as important as knowing how to play.
But the feeling is even worse when you lose a very important game, like a tournament final. You and your team have come so far, and it's a huge blow in one's pride and ego to lose at such a stage.
Ao you can only imagine how one youth baseball team felt when they found themselves in this exact situation.
It was possibly the player who pitches last who felt like the loss was all his fault. He was so upset when his opponents won, that he simply collapsed on the mound, and didn't move.
A player from the opposing tea saw him laying there, "lifelessly," and abandoned his team's celebrations to lift him up in more ways than one.
The player lifted him off the ground, telling him that everything was going to be alright. He consoled him as much as he could.
Now, the young man's actions are making the rounds on the Internet. All the players – winners and losers of that game – agree that, no matter what the outcome, that show of sportsmanship was the most important moment of the night.
