Primrose was born with a serious case of congenital glaucoma which gave her a pair of striking silver eyes. For the first 23 months of her life, her glaucoma went untreated and caused her pain and misery.
Because of her blindness and hearing difficulties, Primrose was abandoned by her birth mother and struggled to find a family who would take her in and give her all the love and care she needed.
Time passed and Primrose sat alone in the orphanage. She still didn't know how to take a bottle. She could barely hold her head up. And she had never known what it was like to have a parent who loved and nurtured her.
Meanwhile, halfway around the world in Braselton, Georgia, Chris and Eryn Austin were happily raising their two children.
One day in January 2016, Eryn was browsing Facebook when she stumbled upon a photo that sent chills down her spine. Staring back at her on the screen was a little girl from China with piercing silver eyes.
Eryn knew it right then and there… this baby girl was hers. She just needed to bring her home.
