There have been plenty of times when I would find myself in public wanting to relieve an itch, fix my skirt, or worse, get something that was stuck in-between my teeth. It’s embarrassing, but it happens more often than I would like to admit, so I can totally understand where the panda bear in this video clip is coming from.
The last time I was at the Smithsonian Zoo in Washington, D.C., the pandas in the exhibition barely moved around — and yet what the bear does in this clip is just too funny! Apparently he had an itch he needed to take care of, and even though there were plenty of people watching, he decided to give zoo-goers a show by using a special technique to scratch his bottom. And I don’t blame him! I’m sure he felt a great feeling of relief once he got whatever was bothering him off his bottom. Even so, I just can’t help but laugh, because it is also one of the most adorably ridiculous things I’ve ever seen.
Would I want to be caught doing the same thing in public? Absolutely not! But for this panda bear, he didn’t have any other choice!
