Patrick Swayze Sings Beautiful Version Of ‘Love Hurts’ Alongside Larry Gatlin

Over the course of his esteemed career, Patrick Swayze left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry. The actor, singer, songwriter, and dancer wowed in all areas of entertainment, and was even voted the “Sexiest Man Alive” by People magazine! His death in 2009 at age 57 was therefore not only a great loss for his family, but also for his fans. His legacy will always be remembered through his many contributions to art and entertainment.

Though better known for his acting, Swayze also had a beautiful voice. In a 1990 tribute to Roy Orbison, he — along with Larry Gatlin — sings Orbison’s “Love Hurts.” The stripped-down performance is absolutely beautiful, and does the classic song justice.

In addition to the vocal skills demonstrated here and the roles in films like Dirty Dancing and Ghost that his fans remember him by, Swayze was also an incredible dancer.

At the 1994 World Music Awards, he danced along with his wife Lisa Niemi to Whitney Houston’s “All the Man That I Need,” and the performance is breathtaking. His iconic final dance in Dirty Dancing continues to inspire amateur dancers, including many brides and grooms during their first dances.

Please SHARE this beautiful performance if you think Patrick Swayze left us at far too young an age!
