So far, 2015 has been a pretty big year for awesome dads showing support for their kids' so-called "gender-bending" ways…
Not long ago, we shared this viral video from a California father who let his son pick any toy in the store and showed his full support when he came back with a Little Mermaid Barbie doll. The video quickly made headlines because of the dad's loving response and his message on letting kids be kids, without shoving gender roles in their faces. While he didn't do anything so heroic, his refreshing take on the subject definitely got the ball rolling for an inspiring viral movement of parents sharing their own personal experiences.
However, if there's a "Father of the Month" award for October, someone needs to quickly hand it to Virginia man Paul Henson, who has found viral fame of his own after posting a photo of his son Caiden on his personal Facebook account. In the photo, the adorable toddler can be seen wearing a Queen Elsa costume from Disney's smash-hit film Frozen. "Anyone that knows us, knows we generally let Caiden make his own choices, to an extent." Henson wrote alongside the photo. "Well, he has decided on a Halloween costume. He wants to be Elsa. He also wants me to be Anna. Game on."
Henson can be seen smiling in the background of the photo, which has been shared nearly 27k times in just three days. The Subway manager's Facebook page has been inundated with positive responses from family, friends, and people all over the globe. "Halloween is about children pretending to be their favorite characters." Henson continued in the inspiring post. "Just so happens, this week his is a princess."
