Just when you think you've seen everything, this video proves once again that the animal kingdom will always have something new to show us all!
It was a perfectly normal day for a man driving down the highway on his usual commute. Nothing strange was happening, nothing out of the ordinary. When suddenly he noticed a small gray dot weaving in and out of traffic.
Could it possibly be a drone in the sky? It certainly couldn't be Superman. Nope! It turned out to be a rather clever (and quite strong) pigeon speeding down faster than any of the other cars!
We hope that it wasn't the driver of the vehicle who was holding the camera, we certainly hope that perhaps the passenger was capturing all of this, but when you see that bird in action, we're surprised that the police didn't show up to give the bird a speeding ticket!
The cars all along the highway were cruising at a comfortable speed of around 60 miles per hour, but it seems like this bird was taking advantage of the slipstream caused by many of the vehicles to help send him flying faster than we'd expect a pigeon to go.
Usually when you think of pigeons, you think of a city dweller. A somewhat clumsy bird that doesn't seem capable of outpacing a car on the highway, but watching this little guy in action should give us all a newfound respect for this often-overlooked creature.
And like we said, while we're not sure if the driver was the one controlling the camera, if you're behind the wheel and spot something worth filming, please let someone else in the car take the photos. Keep your eyes on the road at all times!
