We've seen people using plastic spoons in their DIY crafts before, but I don't think we've ever seen someone make something quite as beautiful as the roses that YouTuber FaveCrafts makes in this video.
Using only a few plastic spoons and a scented household candle, Maureen Wilson from FaveCrafts turns these cheap, plastic utensils into something absolutely beautiful.
The process, as you'll see in the video, is quite simple. Light your candle and use it to slowly melt the plastic spoons just enough so that they are pliable. Follow Maureen as she shows you just how to warp and manipulate the plastic spoon in order to make it resemble the petals of a rose. You can then use it as a simple decoration or even turn it into a piece of jewelry.
The roses are lightweight and, best of all, super inexpensive to create. If you've got extra plastic spoons lying around and a few free minutes on your hands, this is one DIY craft that you've got to try. I know we plan to!
