Every once in a great while, you stumble across a story that truly stirs you, something that inspires you to be better, do more, and have an impact.
This video, created by the nonprofit group PraYnksters, tells one of those stories, and here at LittleThings, when we find an inspiring story — like the tale of this woman who donated her wedding ring to help others — we like to pass it along.
In an exclusive interview, Jeffrey Paul, creator and leader of PraYnksters, gave us the background of his organization and this amazing video.
Rooted in the teachings of Philippians 4:6 — "Fear nothing, pray about everything" — PraYnksters strives to change the world, one kind-hearted "prank" at a time.
"PraYnksters isn’t about us," said Jeffrey. "It’s about helping and inspiring others to live their life free of fear."
Jane, the recipient of their first "prank," couldn't be more deserving. A survivor of domestic abuse, breast cancer, and homelessness, Jeffrey knew that this single mother of three teenage girls was the perfect candidate for PraYnksters.

"PraYnksters is about having a restless need to help others," said creator Jeffrey Paul. In the spirit of this, the nonprofit group recently recently organized a "giving mob" for Jane, a mother in need.

After finally escaping an abusive marriage, Jane was left virtually homeless. Determined to get back up on her feet, she worked hard at Create Common Good, a training program to help individuals overcome employment barriers.

Jane worked tirelessly at pursuing employment while supporting her three teenage daughters. It was a struggle, but she never gave up.

When PraYnksters learned of Jane's extreme hardships, they knew they had to help. They told Jane and her daughters they had arranged an interview, and they asked them to wait outside this building. Jane had no idea what was actually about to happen.

When the "prank" was revealed, Jane was moved beyond words. She cried, saying that she had never been shown so much love and compassion. "She said she had never felt God more alive than she did that day," Jeffrey recalled.
