Man Discovers Homeless Woman Has A Secret Glamorous Hollywood Life

Marie Haist has been homeless for 40 years of her life. After being a housewife, she sold her home, then lost everything. She's been on her own ever since. For 16 years, Marie spent most of her time in a laundromat. In fact, she had been there so long that the owner eventually gave her a set of keys. During her time at the laundromat, she has managed to amass a following of celebrities.

Yaniv Rokah moved to Hollywood to be an actor. He began working across the street from the laundromat at a coffee shop. It was then that he began his talks with Haist, who goes by "Queen Mimi." Rokah quickly learned that was a lot more to Queen Mimi than what he expected. Her life was far more glamorous than he had ever imagined. Mimi befriended comedian Zach Galifianakis in the early 1990s long before he was famous. When he became a movie star, he began to bring her as his date to many of his red carpet events, where she got to mingle with the rich and famous. You can even see photos of her at The Hangover and The Campaign film premieres. Through Zach, Queen Mimi became friends with Renée Zellweger.

When the two famous actors discovered she had been homeless all along, they got her an apartment and continue to pay her rent and bills. Still, Mimi always goes back to the laundromat she's become a fixture of. Yaniv was so inspired by the mysterious woman's story as it unfolded before him, he decided to create a full-length documentary about her. See the amazing story about how one mysterious woman proved to be much more than what meets the eye below.
