Teachers play an incredibly large role in our lives as we grow up and make our way through school. From day care to elementary school all the way up through you last day of high school before graduating and maybe even throughout college, about eight hours a day, five days a week, will be spent at school and in classrooms with teachers.
The best kind of teachers and the ones you will always remember, are the ones who have their own totally unique way of teaching, and making connections with their students. While there should probably be a line between teacher and friend, that doesn't mean that teachers shouldn't get to know their students, and even strive to have their students like and respect them.
The high-school English teacher in this video, Mr. Smith, seems to know how to relate to his students, but even when having fun with is students he incorporates a lesson, like all good teachers do.
Like the school that includes hip hop dancing, hula hooping, and generally having fun into their curriculum, Mr. Smith knows that the best way to get his students attention is to use something that they are already interested in, like popular rap music, and mixing it in to his lessons.
For the last day of school Mr. Smith put together this awesome rap, which recaps the entire school year in his class, but he does it without a single profane word.
If teaching ever gets old, this guy has a career waiting for him in inspirational rap…and he's already got a couple of loyal fans to buy his first album!
