Three barn owls were casually hanging out on a perch when their human friend decided they all needed a little music to jam to that day. He started playing Ke$ha’s “Tik Tok,” and almost instantly, one of the beautiful creatures began to sway back and forth to the beat of the music. When he inched his phone closer to the other two, they danced as well — until all three were getting down!
Pets aren’t the only animals that respond well to music. Incredible videos like the one where elephants dance to the tune of a soothing violin are all over the internet. They make for such an attentive, polite audience! These classically trained musicians knew it, too, which is why they jumped at the chance to play Bach selections for farm animals.
While these barn owls didn’t have to flock very far to enjoy Ke$ha’s popular song, they certainly seemed to appreciate hearing it all the same.
It should be noted that although these barn owls appear to be tied to their perches, this was for their own safety. They were being rehabilitated and couldn’t fly away just yet (lest they hurt themselves further), but once they were fully recovered, away they went!
I wonder if they told their feathered friends about Ke$ha when they got back? Hmm…
