I have a love-hate relationship with surprises. Hear me out…
Who doesn't love it when someone is so thoughtful and considerate that they plan a big surprise just for you? There's no feeling comparable to knowing you are loved and appreciated.
This beautiful surprise was 365 days in the making, and this one took place on a jet plane — needless to say, surprises can be intense.
On the other hand, getting surprised can be awkward and embarrassing. If you shy away from big crowds like I do, being put on the spot with people staring or with any kind of pressure can feel weird — no matter how much you may appreciate the thought.
Nevertheless, I've got to assume the man in the below video knew his girlfriend would be OK with this particular surprise.
He takes her onto a boat, sails out to sea, then unfurls the sail that has a secret message just for her. Of course, she can hardly believe it!

Her reaction is absolutely priceless. Let's just say, this is one surprise that was pulled off without a hitch!
