Pregnant Single Woman Reveals She’s Having Twins, But Says They’re Not Hers

For Melissa Kayser and her husband, having a child was proving to be very difficult. They suffered through nine miscarriages, something Melissa says was not only painful but isolating.

As reported by KETV's Julie Cornell, she often talked to her sister, Lisa, about it. Lisa, who is single and has never carried a child, listened, and in a joking manner, she offered to give her sister her uterus.

That joke became somewhat of a reality when the sisters began exploring the possibility of Lisa carrying Melissa's child. After many tests and paperwork, they were given the "all clear," and an embryo was transferred and implanted in Lisa's womb.

It took, and the couple couldn't have been happier!

But soon, they found out that they got more than they bargained for, and in the best possible way. At the ultrasound, the technician revealed that there wasn't just one baby on the way, but two — the Kaysers would be bringing home twins!

Lisa reportedly told the technician, "Count again!"

The good news surely brought the sisters even closer. While it is unconventional for a woman to give birth to her own nieces, what matters is the health and well-being of the children! After so much heartbreak, the couple will finally have what they've been yearning for.
