A Stolen $35,000 Luxury Rolex Watch Had To Be Retrieved From A Very Private Place

There’s really no telling what your shift is going to look like when you’re a health care practitioner working in a Las Vegas emergency room.

This clip shared by Discovery Life details one particular incident that was discussed on the network’s reality show, Sin City ER, when someone came into the ER with a medical emergency that was not so typical in nature.

In the clip, Dr. David Obert, an emergency physician, describes having played witness to an assortment of strange things that he’s had to help extract from various places in and on patients’ bodies.

“I’ve seen jewelry, credit cards, money, spoons, knives, forks,” Obert explains. He’s also seen PVC piping fashioned into handmade sexual toys, metal rods, highball glasses, lightbulbs, and even candles.

During the reenactment, they discuss how a search warrant actually had to be obtained in order to “retrieve property that was put in a very private spot.”

What was the stolen property? Well, it was none other than a $35,000 luxury Rolex watch. The emergency medical team discovered this during a routine X-ray of the patient’s abdomen.

The individual had to have the stolen property extracted, because when a foreign metal object is inserted into the body, the individual can begin to experience fever, chills, or even perforation, which can lead to internal bleeding and dangerous infections.
